Steve Broekhuizen

Steve Broekhuizen started film-making in 2005, he holds a BA degree in media Studies with a concentration in both film production and writing. He has worked for the likes of NBC in America. Steve has been involved to date with over 60 film productions in Europe and North America as well as numerous music videos and corporate videos for the likes of the Cope Foundation.

Outside of the film world, Steve has in the past worked as a newspaper journalist as well as on radio. He also is involved with local football as a coach and within the community as a fundraiser for numerous charities.

Steve will bring his experience on both large and small scale productions to your video to ensure it is made to the highest possible standard no matter the budget.

Adam McCarthy

Adam McCarthy began filmmaking in 2013 working as an AD. He has vast experience in the field working on various projects in a production capacity most notably on Hozier’s viral ‘Take Me To Church’ music video which to date has over 40 million youtube hits. He also spent last summer working on John Creedon’s ‘Epic East’ for RTE television. On top of production work, Adam also has written and directed short films and music videos for international artists.

Outside of film and media, Adam has spent time working on radio and as a journalist. He has studied for a Diploma in Radio Broadcasting from Colaiste Stiofain Naofa and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and History from University College Cork. In his spare time he coaches underage football.

As a producer and assistant director, Adam will make sure that your project is running on time and on budget.

Emmet O’Brien

Emmet O’Brien is a writer who enjoys wordplay and heightened reality in his work. His stories have been described as “bittersweet whimsy”, a phrase he is quite content with.
As a member of Deep Red he is primarily interested in script writing and concept generation. His short films have been featured in festivals worldwide and have received some awards. His work in writing and producing the video for huge international hit “Take me to Church” by Irish musician Hozier enjoyed tremendous success and was nominated for an MTV video award. He is also a member of Turncoat Press who are active in the local comic book scene.

He enjoys writing across various disciplines be it, prose, poems, plays etc. all the way to film and film criticism. He attributes his love of cinema to viewing “Back to the Future” at an impressionable age and wishing to tell stories that combine the fantastical and the witty.

Phillip Connolly

Phillip has been involved in filmmaking for 9 years, he graduated through the film course in St Johns college. Phil is our cinematographer and editor is well know for his visual work in photography and video. Phil has been involved in projects in Europe and Asia, and many of the projects that he has worked on have been screened worldwide, including RTE.

Outside of film making Phil has an interest in sports, and has worked on promotional videos for local Thai boxing gym and Cork City Football Club.

As a cinematographer Phil’s goal is to create visuals that will give of the greatest impact for the video, and being an editor; his eye for detail make sure the project is finished to the highest possible standard.
